Priestley Building
Newrybar Studio
The home, originally built by local stonemason David Oliver in the 1980's, was extended and the garage converted into a granny flat. Stone was sourced from the original quarry at Teven and David agreed to oversee the new stone works. Internal timber finishes created a warm living space. The result was a seamless conversion form old to new. Designed by Federal architect Julie Lipsett for Sydney based architect Andrew Andersons.
2017 MBA Northern Region Building Awards winner of best granny flat over $200,000 and best use of stone.
